D’abord étudiante à Vienne, cette scientifique pacifiste mène ses travaux de recherche en Allemagne et découvre en 1938 la fission nucléaire à l’origine du processus de la bombe atomique. Malgré son génie, la physicienne sera oubliée des Prix Nobel au profit d’hommes qui ont collaboré à ses côtés.
